For mold inspectors & Indoor Environmental Professionals (IEPs)
You assess the building. I evaluate the person.
When clients suspect mold is affecting their health, you need a medical professional you can confidently refer them to.
I’m Dr. Sam Madeira, a naturopathic physician focused on complex chronic illness and environmental medicine. I evaluate symptoms and exposure history, investigate potential contributing factors, and develop personalized care plans that complement your work on the building.
I have extensive experience working with patients with mold illness, and advanced training in how to treat mold illness through Dr. Paul Anderson, NMD and Dr. Jill Crista, ND.
Telemedicine care is available for adults in Arizona, Montana, and Washington.
Why mold inspectors refer to Dr. Madeira
During a mold inspection, mold testing or remediation project, clients often ask questions that belong to a doctor: “Could this be why I feel so sick?” or “What do I do about my symptoms?” Having a mold-literate clinician to refer them to lets you stay focused on the building, and helps your client get both halves of the problem addressed.
I practice environmental medicine: evaluating how exposure to mold, water-damaged buildings and other indoor contaminants may relate to a person’s symptoms, and building a step-by-step care plan. I don’t assess buildings or recommend specific inspectors or remediation companies, so your role stays yours.
